Who Will Defend You?

But the LORD has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge.
(Psalm 94:22)

Have you ever been in situation were you were falsely accuse? Or maybe someone said something about you that really hurt your feelings. I have been there many times. I know that it hurts; you just want to go and defend yourself. But the Bible says that Jesus was falsely accused and that accusation took him to die on the cross. He did not say one word to defend himself. He was God; He could’ve called angels to destroy everyone. But He didn’t, because He came with a purpose. He suffered willingly, no one made Him.

The Bible makes it clear, if God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
God knows, hears, sees everything, so if someone has hurt you today. Make a choice to forgive. I have heard it said; you can become bitter or better. Choose to become better. A better person in Christ, be set free from the pain. I have today; I have forgiven those who have hurt me.
You might be thinking, yeah right; you don’t know what that person did to me. It’s not the first time, that person has done it before. Your right, I do not know. But God does and He wants us to trust Him. He will defend you in due time, run to His arm and He will protect you.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Be encouraged today, to stand still and see God fight your battles. Position yourself in prayer, and wait on Him. Be confident that He will be faithful to you, stand firm in His word. May you be filled with God’s love and forgiveness today. God bless

  1. This is a great devotional, and a good reminder that we must forgive and live a life that is pleasing to God. I love the scripture "If God is for us, who can be against us?" God is awesome, and He defends, and fights for His servants. Let's be filled with love, because Love Never Fails! Lord, fill us with your love and forgiveness, with your kindness, gentleness, and humility, In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. :) :) :)

  2. Great reminder, we should trust in the Lord and He will direct are walk ,no matter what we face and this world.... Rom 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [Shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
